I am a cake obsessive, based in West Sussex, UK.

I started off making cakes for family and friends before giving up a proper career in favour of playing with sugar full time. Having worked for two bakeries making their wedding and celebration cakes, I am now looking toward world domination with breaks for coffee and chat.

A quick dummy cake as I had plenty of pink confetti pieces left over.

This cake was featured as an editor's choice on Cake Decor this month.  Woohoo!

Lovely Laura's birthday cake - September 2014

It's Laura's birthday (I love that girl!) so what else could I bring to her party but a little cakey gift.

A two layer vanilla 4" cake with orange and elderflower buttercream frosting and a core of blueberry and elderflower jelly in the middle.

Happy birthday gorgeous, and happy house warming too. X

Hydrangea and petunia cake - July 2014

New demo cake for the Angel Food Bakery, using a left over fondanted cake from another class of eager sugarcrafters and my new hydrangea and petunia cutter and veiner sets.  Leaves are lace effect royal icing.

Only a quick rough version, but cute huh!

Building up the demo cakes nicely.

White peony cake - May 2014

Quick demo cake with white peony...

Using up the demo cakes from my cake covering class, so sorry about the naked board.

Smooth sided ombré cake, first attempt - April 2014

My first try at smooth sided ombré buttercreamed cake.
Not as polished as I'd hoped, but then that's why I did a practice cake.

Just messing about with flower making, don't haul me in front of the rose police!

(I really do need to have a proper go at that though.)

 Upside down buttercream method again

Hmm, far from perfect... some issues to overcome.
I quite like the effect though.

Rustic Wedding Cake - April 2014

This wedding cake was based on a previous design by the Angel Food Bakery.  The bride planned to add a purple "Mr & Mrs" cake topper later that she had already bought from us.

Inside the tiers were vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam.
